On November 30, 2023, the first practitioner lecture was conducted online for the students of the Statistics Program, class of 2022, to fulfill the Introduction to Economics course. The event was initiated by the moderator and instructor for the Introduction to Economics course, Ms. Iut Tri Utami, S. Si., M. Si. Following the opening, Mr. Arief Seno Nugroho, S. Si., M. Sc., a practitioner lecturer and official employee of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, delivered the material for the first practical lecture. He presented content related to “Fiscal and Monetary Policies,” exploring how the financial policy system in a country can contribute to balancing the national economy.
Furthermore, on December 7, 2023, the second practitioner lecture took place. This time, the practitioner lecture was conducted in a hybrid format, with all students gathered in Room E101, while Mr. Arief delivered the lecture online through Teams. In this second session, Mr. Arief presented material related to “International Trade,” explaining the definition, process, and rules applicable in the context of international trade.
Through the practitioner lectures provided by Mr. Arief, We hope students will gain a broader understanding of Fiscal and Monetary Policies, as well as International Trade. We also aspire that this activity will enhance the students’ interest and motivation to prepare themselves for the professional world.
