Miftahul Jannah, S.Si., M.Si., a lecturer in the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro, recently participated as a contributed speaker (oral presenter) at The Asian Mathematical Conference 2025 (AMC 2025), held on 3–7 August 2025 at The Empress Convention Center, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

AMC 2025 gathered an impressive community of over 300 scholars representing 57 countries. The strongest representation came from institutions in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Japan. The scientific program was structured into ten thematic sessions that encompassed both classical and modern areas of mathematics—ranging from logic, algebra, and geometry to analysis, statistics, probability, data science, computation, and optimization. In addition, several sessions explored the role of mathematics in interdisciplinary fields, including epidemiology, computer science, and technological modelling.

In this international forum, her presented research in Session S6: Probability, Statistics, and Data Science with the paper titled “Bayesian logistic regression analysis on the impact of COVID-19 vaccination on pregnancy outcomes.” The presentation, delivered on 6 August 2025, highlighted the application of Bayesian statistical methods in understanding the relationship between COVID-19 vaccination and pregnancy outcomes, contributing to ongoing discussions at the intersection of data science, epidemiology, and public health.

Participation in AMC 2025 provided an opportunity to share the Department’s research internationally and to engage with scholars across diverse fields of mathematics and its applications.
